 The black tulip written by Alexander Dumas. The story is set in the 17th century Netherlands. There was a wealthy young man, Cornelius Van Baerle, and an old gardener, Isaac Boxtel. They are the famous tulip gardeners. One day, the Horticultural Society paid a prize of 100,000 guilders to those who raised the black tulips. Cornelius and Isaac seek to win that honor. Cornelius continued his research and finally succeeded received a secret letter from the De Witt brothers. The De Witt brothers are eventually slaughtered as rebels However, Cornelius was be put to be in prison because Isaac sniffed for a letter that Cornelius had.
